# Ranks

> Configure rank tiers, point thresholds, and rewards, and see how ranks and progress bars appear to users.

## Understanding ranks

Ranks are a powerful gamification tool that allows you to create a tiered system of achievement within your campaigns. Users earn points by completing tasks and quests, and as they accumulate points, they progress through different ranks. Each rank can be associated with specific rewards, benefits, or recognition, providing a clear path for users to strive for and a sense of accomplishment as they advance.

### Benefits of using ranks

**Increased engagement**: Ranks provide a clear goal for users to work towards, encouraging them to participate more actively in your campaigns.

**Motivation and progression**: The tiered system motivates users to continue engaging with your campaign to reach higher ranks and unlock new rewards.

## Configuring ranks

    Click the **Create Rank** button to add a new rank.

    * **Name**: Provide a clear and concise name for the rank (e.g., "Bronze," "Silver," "Gold").
    * **Image**: Upload an image or icon that represents the rank.
    * **Rank points**: Specify the number of points required to achieve this rank.
    * **Points**: (Optional) Award bonus points to the user upon achieving this rank.
    * **Rewards**: (Optional) Add additional rewards associated with this rank (e.g., NFTs, gift codes).

## Presenting ranks to users

**Rank display**: The user's current rank is clearly displayed within their profile or progress section. This typically includes the rank name or icon and the user's current points progress.

**Progress bar**: A progress bar visually represents the user's progress towards the next rank, showing how many points they need to earn to reach the next level.

## How users interact with ranks

Users earn points by completing tasks and quests within your campaign. As they accumulate points, their rank automatically updates. Users can see their current rank and progress towards the next rank in their profile or progress section.
