# Forms

## Understanding **Forms in claimr**

Forms are a versatile tool for collecting data from your users. Use forms to gather contact information, feedback, preferences, or any other data for your campaign goals.

**Use Forms to**

* Collect information to understand your audience better, personalize their experience, and improve your campaigns.
* Make your campaigns more interactive by incorporating forms that allow users to provide feedback, express preferences, or participate in surveys and quizzes.
* Capture leads and build your email list or contact database.
* Gather information upfront to personalize the user journey and provide more relevant content and rewards.

## **Understanding Forms structure**

Forms in claimr have a hierarchical structure:

**Forms:** The overall container for collecting user information.

**Pages:** Forms can have multiple pages, allowing you to organize the information you're gathering into logical sections.

**Blocks:** Each page consists of different blocks, which are the individual elements that make up the form (e.g., text fields, email fields, dropdown menus, checkboxes).

To learn more about managing existing forms, editing forms, configuring form settings, and utilizing different block types, see the following articles.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.claimr.io/forms.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
