# Export tools

> Claimr MCP tools for setting up and starting CSV exports of participant data, which you then download in the Claimr admin panel.

The assistant can set up and start a CSV export of your campaign's participant data, for example the wallets of everyone who took part in a quest. It never receives the file: when the export is ready, you download it in the Claimr admin panel. Exports use the **Segments and exports** permission area.

| Tool | What it does | Access |
| - | - | - |
| `claimr_get_export_fields` | Lists what an export can contain: datasets, the conditions that choose participants with their operators and accepted values, activity filters, and columns. For one condition, it lists all accepted values, such as the country list. | Segments and exports: read |
| `claimr_preview_export` | Counts how many participants and rows an export would include, without creating it. | Segments and exports: read |
| `claimr_create_export` | Starts an export and returns a link to it in the admin panel. | Segments and exports: read |
| `claimr_get_export_status` | Shows an export's progress and the link to it in the admin panel. | Segments and exports: read |

## How an export works

<Steps>
  <Step title="Ask for the data">
    Describe what you need, for example "Export the wallets of everyone who took part in the 'Go on-chain' quest but hasn't finished it."
  </Step>

  <Step title="The assistant sets it up">
    The assistant looks up the available conditions and columns, checks how many participants match, and starts the export.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the link">
    The assistant gives you a link to the export in the admin panel. Open it while signed in to Claimr. The **Export** drawer opens on that export.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download the file">
    If the export is ready, click **Download**. If it's still running, the file downloads as soon as it's ready.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  Ask the assistant to preview the export first. The preview tells you how many participants and rows the file will have, so you can adjust the conditions before you start it.
</Tip>

## What an export can contain

Each export has a dataset, which decides what one row of the file is:

| Dataset | One row per |
| - | - |
| **Participants** | participant |
| **Activity** | task, quest, reward, or withdrawal |
| **Accounts** | connected account or wallet |
| **Referrals** | referrer and referral pair |

Conditions choose which participants are included. You can combine them so that participants must match **all** of them or **any** of them:

* Completed tasks, completed quests, or quests they took part in. A participant took part in a quest if they did any of its tasks, even without finishing it.
* Connected platforms, status (active or disqualified), team, and country.
* Join date and last activity.
* XP, custom points, and leaderboard rank.
* Number of referrals, and the referral link they joined through.
* Wallet score, social score, and wallet balance.
* UTM source, campaign, and medium.

An **Activity** export can also be limited to certain row types, tasks, quests, statuses, or dates. You choose the columns, or the assistant uses the default columns for the dataset.

Exports use the published version of your campaign. Tasks and quests that aren't published yet can't be used in conditions.

## What the assistant sees

The assistant only receives counts, column names, and a summary of the conditions. It never receives the file, any of its rows, participant names, wallets, or a download link.

For the same reason, the assistant can't export a list of specific participants, such as wallets you paste into the chat. To export a list like that, open the **Export** drawer in the admin panel and paste the list there.

<Note>
  Only a team member signed in to the admin panel, whose role can view users, can download an export. In the panel's export list, exports started by an assistant show the assistant's name in the **By** column.
