# Raffle and tournament tools

> Claimr MCP tools for creating raffles and drawing winners, and for running tournaments.

Raffles and tournaments include actions that can't be undone, such as drawing raffle winners or ending a tournament. Your AI assistant asks you to confirm these. Read the confirmation carefully.

## Raffles

A raffle draws winners from the participants who meet its requirements. Raffles use the **Rewards** permission area. A raffle tied to a tournament also needs **Tournaments** access.

| `claimr_create_raffle` | Creates a raffle. Nobody is entered until the draw runs. | Rewards: write |
| `claimr_update_raffle` | Changes a raffle. Requirements only matter until the draw runs. | Rewards: write |
| `claimr_close_raffle` | Runs the draw: enters every participant who meets the requirements, ranks them, and closes the raffle. | Rewards: write |
| `claimr_set_raffle_candidate` | Disqualifies a drawn candidate, or puts them back in. Ranks around them don't move. | Rewards: write |
| `claimr_complete_raffle` | Marks a drawn raffle as completed once its winners are settled. The campaign must have been published at least once. | Rewards: write |
| `claimr_delete_raffle` | Deletes a raffle and its draw. | Rewards: write |

Raffles rank candidates in one of three ways:

* **Top**: ranks candidates by XP.
* **Random**: ignores XP.
* **Normalized**: random, weighted by XP, so more XP means better odds.

  Drawing a raffle decides the winners. It can't be undone or run again.

## Tournaments

A tournament scores participants on what they earn between its start and end. A campaign can run one tournament at a time.

| `claimr_create_tournament` | Creates a tournament. Leave quests and tasks empty to score the whole campaign, or pick some to score only those. | Tournaments: write |
| `claimr_update_tournament` | Changes a tournament. Scores already earned aren't rewritten. | Tournaments: write |
| `claimr_start_tournament` | Starts a tournament and records every participant's starting point. A tournament can only be started once. | Tournaments: write |
| `claimr_end_tournament` | Ends a tournament and freezes the standings. | Tournaments: write |
| `claimr_delete_tournament` | Deletes a tournament. A running tournament has to be ended first. | Tournaments: write |

## Winners and standings

The assistant can't list raffle candidates, raffle winners, or tournament standings, because those include participants' personal data. Open the raffle or tournament in the admin panel to see them. See [Security and privacy](/mcp/security-and-privacy).
