Every MCP client connects to Claimr the same way: you add the server URL, then sign in with your Claimr account when the client asks you to.
The Claimr MCP server is a remote server over Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 sign-in. You don’t need an API token or a client secret. Clients that support dynamic client registration, which includes Claude and ChatGPT, register themselves automatically.
Menu names in AI assistants change often. If a step below doesn’t match what you see, look for a setting called Connectors, Apps, Integrations, or MCP servers.

Claude (web and desktop)

Open connector settings

In Claude, open Settings and go to Connectors.

Add a custom connector

Click Add custom connector. Enter Claimr as the name and https://prod.claimr.io/mcp as the URL, then click Add.

Connect

Click Connect next to the new connector. A Claimr sign-in page opens in your browser.

Sign in and authorize

Sign in with your Claimr account and choose what the connection can access. See Authorize a connection.

Use it in a chat

Start a new chat and make sure the Claimr connector is turned on in the tools menu. Then ask something like “List my Claimr campaigns”.
On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add the connector for the organization before members can connect.

Open app settings

In ChatGPT, open Settings and go to Apps & Connectors. If your plan requires it, turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings.

Create the connector

Click Create. Enter Claimr as the name, https://prod.claimr.io/mcp as the MCP server URL, and choose OAuth as the authentication method.

Sign in and authorize

ChatGPT opens the Claimr sign-in page. Sign in and choose what the connection can access. See Authorize a connection.

Use it in a chat

In a new chat, add Claimr from the tools menu, then ask something like “Show me the quests in my campaign”.

Claude Code

Add the server from your terminal:
Then start Claude Code, run /mcp, select claimr, and choose Authenticate. Your browser opens the Claimr sign-in page.

Cursor, VS Code, and other clients

Any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth can connect. Add the server to the client’s MCP configuration, for example in Cursor’s mcp.json:
The client starts the sign-in flow the first time it calls the server.
Clients that only support local (stdio) servers, or that expect a static API key, can’t connect directly. The Claimr MCP server only accepts OAuth sign-in.

Check that it works

Ask the assistant:
List my Claimr organizations and campaigns.
If the assistant lists them, the connection works. If it reports an error, see Troubleshooting.
